Once you buy a Wii fit video game the first thing you have to do is create a profile to start with the exercises. Creating a profile is a basic step. It can be done by selecting a Mii it is an animated character. Next is entering your height, date of birth. Once these basic steps are done, the balancing board examines your weight and calculates the Body Mass Index (BMI) and tells you that whether you are normal or overweight.

Then a calendar is given for you to note the exercise date period and number of hours you use the Wii fit. So these all are the basic steps done with the Wii fit. It also conducts a balance test. This balance test tells how well you can balance your left and right legs. There are four types of exercises in Wii fit. They are Aerobics, yoga, strength and balancing exercises.
When you go for Strength Training it gives full exercises for the muscles. It has few exercises like Single leg extension, Rowing Squat, Push-Up, Jackknife, Triceps, Plank, and Single-Arm Stand.
The Aerobics exercises helps in pumping your heart. Some of the exercises in Aerobics are Hula Hoop, Basic Run, Rhythm Boxing, Free Step, Free Run and few more. Next is the Yoga.
The yoga consists of breathing exercise, cobra, Spinal twist, tree, warrior, sun salutation, standing knee and few more. Finally is the balancing game like ski jump, Table Tilt, balance bubble, lotus focus, penguin slide and few more.
