Wii games box comes with a Wii, Wii game, the remote named wiimote and the secondary controller called as nunchuck. These are the equipments you get when you purchase a Wii set. The secondary controller is very important when you play games like boxing, wrestling, car race. If only one person is likely to use or play Wii games at a time, then the Wii set is more than enough. But the main advantage of the Wii games is that many players can play simultaneously. So when you really want to play with others then you need to get an extra controller.
When you get an extra controller, see to it that you get a controller that is branded. Also never get primary controller alone. It is always good to get a secondary controller along with it. The nunchuck is usually less costly than the wiimote. 
There are lots of add-ons that are available for games like golf, tennis. When you buy and use these add-ons, the quality of the picture in your screen increases. The golf courtyard becomes very clear and the racquet movement in the tennis will become much clear.
The important extra equipment that can be coupled with the Wii set is the steering wheel. The miniature steering wheel can be coupled with the Wii set to play games like car races, Mario, bike races and running and driving games.
